The third LASSE meeting took place in São Paulo, in February 2009, with the title title “Epileptogenesis in the developing brain: basis for treatment and prevention”. For this purpose, eminent experts from various countries were invited to act as lecturers and/or tutors, giving theoretical lectures and practical discussions.

Based on the successful experience and in an unprecedented way, we have transcribed the recording of some lectures to some classes, to transform them into this publication, expanding this very important activity to more professionals.
